Program Description:
I have produced and hosted the weekly hourly program “Reflections” on Allegro WIPR 91.3 FM since September 2021 that airs at 7 pm on Thursday and is repeated at 8 am on Friday.
Allegro 91.3 FM is a public broadcasting station run by the Government of Puerto Rico .
Something significant that I see, read, remember or experience will evoke analysis and reflections based on my relatively long (born April 29, 1944) and varied past with our wellbeing in mind. With few exceptions, I avoid political and religious topics that can be divisive, and concentrate on providing an educational, positive and uplifting program.
The topic of happiness/wellbeing is today a topic of great interest with courses on the topic at top US universities being oversubscribed, despite devoting the largest available lecture venues. The opposite of happiness/wellbeing is anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation; the tools to achieve happiness/wellbeing are in large part also the tools that reduce violence in all its forms perpetuated on others, or permitted by many from others, as well as self-inflicted.
